The Guyana Zoo

Guyana Zoo (officially Guyana Zoological Park) is a located at the corner or Regent and Vlissengen Road in Georgetown, the capital of Guyana. The Zoo was officially opened in 1952 but some of its grounds is used as a Botanical Gardens since 1895.

One of the biggest group of birds seen as you enter the Zoo is the Macaws. There are several sub-species of Macaws.

The Green-winged Macaw is one.
